Introduction of Prof. Hengjia Zhang
He’s a member of the College Agricultural Engineering Professional Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, Chinese Agriculture Industrialization expert in Agricultural Industrialization Branch of China Association of Agricultural Science, Distinguished Professor of Gansu Feitian Scholars Project, Gansu Young Talent Teacher, and a member of the Academic Committee of Gansu Agricultural University.
He is mainly devoted to the teaching and research work of the efficient use of agricultural water and soil resources. In terms of scientific research, he mainly uses wheat, corn, Jerusalem artichoke, potato, processed tomato, pumpkin, and radix isatidis as research materials in the oasis irrigation area to develop adaptation strategies for water deficits in oasis crops with the goal of improving agricultural yield and efficient water use, and the possible influencing mechanism.
