Research Experience:
Dr.
TAN Huey Ling received her bachelor degree in Chemical
Technology (B.Sc with honours) from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (2003),
followed by a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester,
UK (2008) in the field of peptide self-assembly and molecular modelling. She
joined the Faculty of Chemical Engineering (Universiti Teknologi MARA) in 2009
as a senior lecturer where she has been a resource person for Molecular
Sciences courses. Her research interests continue to focus on biomolecular
self-assembly (novel biomaterial fabrication), biosensor, membrane active peptides
(antimicrobial, cell penetrating), membrane biophysics, bionanotechnology,
fluorescence, and small angle X-Ray. She has obtained various national and
international grants either as a principal investigator or project member with
collaborators include University of Malaya, University of Bristol and
University of Edinburgh. On top of that, she also received numerous research
awards at the national and international levels.
