Study environmental issues focusing on the Three Gorges Reservoir (TGR) area, supported by State Key Laboratory of Reservoir Aquatic Environment of China Academy of Sciences, Research and Technology Center for Water Protection of Three Gorges Reservoir Area of Chongqing. By applying theories of biology, ecology, limnology, and geography. Conduct cutting-edge research of ecosystem processes in the new habitats generated after construction of TGR, involving studies on material and energy flow, landscape dynamics, eco-environmental influence and ecological restoration.
