Eryu Zhu, professor, tutor of Ph.D. students, doctor of engineering, postdoctor. in October 1996 he graduated and obtained Structural Doctorate Degree in Dalian University of Technology. In January 1998 he had finished the Post-Doctoral work in the area of Bridge and Tunnel Engineering in Beijing Jiaotong University. He mainly centers on research and teaching about bridge and urban rail transportation engineering. Innovative achievements have been made in the area of straddle-type monorail transportation system design, experiment and programming calculation. Recently, he is committed to theoretical study of urban rail transportation and high-speed railway bridge, including application development on CAD, GIS and MIS system, prestressing technique and its project application, structure durability and reinforcement and bridge emergency repair. At present, many related research topics are being taken on. He has published more than one hundred academic papers and seven works, as first author or participated author. So far, he has won one special–class award, three second–class rewards, three third–class reward of provincial scientific and technological progress in China. Besides, fifty patents in China have been invented as first applicant.
