Research Experience:
Hsiang-Chieh Chen received his B.S. degree in engineering science from the National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, in 2002 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the National Central University, Taoyuan, Taiwan, in 2005 and 2009. From Aug. 2010 to Sep. 2014, he was with the Industrial Technology Research Institute, where he worked on intelligent video analytics and energy saving. From Sep. 2014 to Mar. 2015, he was with the Altek Semiconductor and focused on stereo vision R&D. From Mar. 2015 to Jul. 2016, he served as a technical leader of computer vision with the Coretronic Corporation and was in charge of innovative technology development. Since Aug. 2016, he joined the faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering, National United University, Miaoli, Taiwan, where he is currently an assistant professor. His research interests include computer vision, computational intelligence, and robotics.
