Research Experience:
Christian Esposito is an Assistant Professor (RTD.A) at the University of Naples "Federico II". He graduated in Computer Engineering in 2006 and got his PhD in 2009 both at the University of Naples Federico II. From 2009 to 2010, he got a post-doctoral scholarship from University of Napoli “Federico II”, while from 2011 and 2012 he was a Seconded Researcher at the Critical Software office in Coimbra and Oporto (Portugal) within the context of the European project named “CRITICAL STEP”. From 2012 to 2013, he was Research Fellow, and later on for a year a half he was a Fixed-term Researcher at the National Research Council (CNR) in Italy, specifically at the Institute of High Performance Computing and Networking (ICAR). From mid 2015 to early 2016, he was Short-term Research Fellow at the University of Salerno in Italy, afterwards late 2017, he was Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Salerno in Italy.
He regularly serves as a reviewer in journals and conferences in the field of distributed, secure and dependable systems, and is member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Computational Science and Engineering and the International Journal of High Performance Computing and Networking, both by Inderscience. He is also associate editor for the IEEE Access. He has been involved in the organization of almost 100 international events, and is currently the General Chair of the I-SPAN conference in Napoli in September 2019, Mobile Edge Computing workshop at GlobeCom 2019 in December 2019, and the Program Chair of ACM RACS 2019 in China.
His interests include positioning services and pervasive systems, IoT and Cloud Computing, reliable and secure communications, and published almost 50 publications at international journals and 30 articles at international conferences.
