Research Area: Item response theory, standard setting techniques, institutional research, etc.
Research Experience:
The application of item response theory (IRT) is my research interest. For example, in the paper I planned to present at this ICSSED conference, I used the facets model of IRT to detect the influence of the rater effects on institutional evaluation. In another study I conducted previously, I applied the partial credit model of IRT to monitor the impact of the rater effects on standard-setting process. I also conduct simulation studies. For instance, I simulated conditions to investigate the possible impact of the testlet effects on using plausible values to estimate population statistics. In a word, IRT is my current research focus. Any comments and ideas are welcome!
