Research Experience:
Dr. Yaning Zhang is an
associate professor at the School of Energy Science and Engineering of Harbin
Institute of Technology (HIT) in China. He worked as a postdoctor at the Department
of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering of University of Minnesota Twin
Cities in the USA during March 2016 and March 2018, and a visiting scholar and
postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Process Engineering and Applied
Science of Dalhousie University in Canada during October 2011 and December
2012, and March 2013 and September 2013, respectively. He has been conducting
both fundamental and applied research in the areas of biomass, thermochemical
processes, energy systems, exergy, and thermodynamics. He has published many refereed
publications including 3 book chapters and more than 50 SCI indexed journal
papers. He served as a guest editor for Journal of Energy Resources Technology
(2017) and Thermal Science (2017), and serves as an Editorial Board Member for Journal
of Fundamentals of Renewable Energy and Applications and referee for Energy, Energy
Conversion and Management, Journal of Cleaner Production, Renewable Energy, Journal
of Analytical and Applied Pyrolysis, Applied Thermal Engineering, Journal of
the Energy Institute, International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, International
Journal of Thermal Sciences, Thermal Science, Waste and Biomass Valorization,
Mathematical Problems in Engineering, etc.
