Research Experience:
Dr Hamish Mackey is an Assistant Professor in the College of Science and Engineering, Hamad bin Khalifa University. He earned his BEng from University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and in 2014 his PhD from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, China, both in Civil Engineering. His research interests include biological wastewater treatment, particularly for industrial and high strength wastewaters; resource recovery including agricultural amendments and bioplastics; both photosynthetic and sulfur-cycle based microbial bioprocesses; and environmental impacts and energy/water efficiency in water treatment and supply systems.
