Prof. Peng Li, Xi'an Institute of Flexible Electronics, Northwestern Polytechnical University, China (click)
Research Area: Bioelectronic materials/devices for the therapy of infectious diseases
Research Experience:
Professor LI Peng earned his bachelor and PhD degree in Tianjin University and Nanyang Technological University respectively. Then he continued his post-doctoral training in Nanyang Technological University under the supervision of Prof. Mary B. Chan-Park. He worked in Xi’an Jiaotong University and Nanjing Tech University as faculty from 2013-2018. In 2018, he joined the Xi’an Institute of Flexible Electronics of Northwestern Polytechnical University as a Professor. He's research interests are the development of bioelectronic materials/devices for the treatment of diseases, especially infectious diseases caused by pathogenic microbes. He focused on the design and synthesis of antimicrobial peptides and polymers, fabrication of antimicrobial coatings for bio-medical devices. He has successfully developed several advanced antimicrobial materials, and those works published in Nature Materials, Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, Biomaterials etc. Professor Li also holds 4 US patents, and collaborating with several international industrial corporations.
