research experience:
Wenbo Liu obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Processing Engineering from Sichuan University in 2011 and worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics from 2011 to 2014. In Jan 2014, he was appointed associate professor at Sichuan University and then became a senior research scientist at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University from Feb 2015 to May 2017. His current research focus is nanostructured metal materials: from facile fabrication to scientific understanding and to technology applications in energy conversion and storage.
He has published over 80 journal papers in peer-reviewed good journals, such as J. Mater. Chem. A, Chem. Eng. J., Nanoscale, J. Power Sources, Corros. Sci., Electrochim. Acta, Mater. Des., and so on. He is a holder of 8 Chinese patents while having 7 patent applications pending. Prof. Liu received many prizes and awards, including the Hong Kong Scholars Award and Chengdu Natural Science Award for his achievements in the field of Materials Science and Engineering. He is a life member of American Association for Science and Technology (AASCIT), and is an editorial board member in IJEES.
